Preparing for a Viking Feast

Parents,
Looking ahead to our Yule Feast next Thursday (12/20/12), I thought I'd provide a few resources for semi-traditional Viking fare. Each student is expected to bring a dish to share. Generally speaking, Vikings were keen on meat- fish, lamb, pork, and beef in particular. They lived in a cold climate, so their vegetable selection was relatively restricted to roots and heartier grains and naturally occurring fruits and nuts.

For Feast day, students are encouraged (but not required) to come in Viking costume, too.
