To
celebrate the end of our novel, Alice
in Wonderland, we will be
having an afternoon of tea, croquet, and beheadings with a colorful
collection of our favorite Wonderland
characters next
Thursday, September 27, 2013.
Students
should bring in a tea cup and saucer (and if you have an extra to
send in for those who don't, that would be greatly appreciated, too!)
Each
student will also need to create a 3D character to bring to class. They
may choose any character from the book, but may only used
household/recycled materials in their creation. This is a fun,
low-stress, no-cost project. The time spent should be between 30-60
minutes.
If your family has a croquet set
that you are willing to loan us for the day, please let me know. So
far I have 2 sets but will need 3-4 more in order to have enough
mallets for all 25 students to play.
Parents and Grandparents are welcome
to attend! Please "BYOTC" (Bring Your Own Tea Cup :) We will begin with a Caucus Race then croquet at 12:30.
The Tea Party will be right after World Language at 1:45.
Sincerely,
The Queen of Hearts
