Colonial Review and Field trip Info

Parents,
We are beginning to wind down our unit on Colonial America, but we have a few big dates coming up!

Thursday, October 24th
Our final Colony Brochures are due. Students have done a terrific job of meeting deadlines and I can't wait to see their final brochures! Thank you for all your support and help at home!

Friday, October 25th-Thursday, October 31st
Parent-teacher conferences. If you have not scheduled your yet, please visit our Sign-up Genius.
There is no school this Friday due to conferences. (This also means no FISH). I look forward to meeting with you! A reminder of your conference date and time came home last Thursday. Please be sure to take a moment and fill out your form prior to our meeting. Thank you!

Wednesday, October 30th
We will take our final assessment on the 13 colonies. Please look for a review packet to come home this Thursday. Students should also be using the information in their History Notebooks. Need more? Check out these online review resources!

Our Study Stack (more review games)

Friday, November 1st
Is our first Field Trip! We will be spending the morning at the Old Aurora Colony in Aurora. We will see first hand what colonial life looked like here in Oregon. After returning to school, we will spend the afternoon doing several colonial projects- baking bread and churning butter, hand-dipping candles, stitching samplers, and more! Thank you to my parent volunteers for helping!

There will be another blog post later this week with details about our Skeletal Systems unit. Stay tuned!
