Solar System Outing this Weekend!

Welcome to Summer vacation! I hope you are all enjoying the weather (chuckle) and free time!

I came across an exciting opportunity happening in Portland this weekend that I thought I'd pass on. The Solar System is one of our first units of the year. In October, we'll be travelling to Eugene to hike a scale model of the solar system. The distance from the Sun to Pluto is approximately 6 km. It is one of my favorite trips of the year.

This weekend there is a smaller scale model on display on Swan Island (total walk is about 1 mile).
