Thank you for reading the blog all the way to the end- there are a ton of "wrapping up" details to get through, as well as a few points that we (the staff) are asking for your participation in.
Solar System
Thank you to the parent volunteers to came and helped make our trip through the cosmos a successful and fun journey! It was a looooong day, but we all made it back safe and sound! If you were along and have some pictures to share, please send them to me and/or Mrs. Marlatt.

Rivers of the World
We begin our final history/geography unit of the year today! We will be learning all about rivers and looking at the most important rivers on each continent. Next week we will be creating a large world map with salt dough. If anyone would like to volunteer in the classroom to help with the project, please let me know! We will be working on parts of it each day (Tues, Wed, Thurs) from 12:30- 2:00.
Parent Perception Survey
It's that time of year again! ALL parents are asked to please click on this link and take the brief survey. Our goal is 100% participation. Thank you for your time and input!
Parent Input requested on Field trips for 2013-14
As we are in the planning stages for next year, several options for our field trip Fridays have come up. Please take a moment to vote on which option works best for your family by visiting Mr. Currey's blog. The question is in the right side margin.
Saying Goodbye to Mrs. Ray, Mr. Varis, and Mrs. Brunning
As many of you have read, CHPCS will be losing 3 of its teachers this fall due to budget cuts. We will be putting together a goodbye project for the teachers this week. If you have particular interest in contributing ideas or helping out, please let me know.
McIver Camp out is getting Close!
Our Family Camp out is less than 2 weeks away! It looks like with the number of people who RSVPd (Thank you, by the way!) there will be no additional costs to those participating. We are booked for 75 people and we have somewhere between 60-70 right now- including those families not spending the night.
The Potluck dinner will be at 7:00. Mr. Bethke is putting together a sign-up genius for us to use so that we have an appropriate number of salads, main dishes, and desserts. Each family should bring their own dishes, utensils, and drinks.
