It's been a very busy month as 3rd grade astronomers! Here are some of the highlights:
Friday, May 30th Field Trip to Eugene
Thanks to our fabulous parent volunteers, for helping make our 4 mile hike of the solar system a huge success! We stopped along the way to have some fun with the planets.

Along with the field trip, we also spent about a week working on our final projects for the unit- Astronomy review games! Groups of 1-3 students created their own games, including review questions from our 5 main themes. The creativity involved was pretty incredible. They all did a fantastic job, a lot of writing and editing, and working together as a group. This past week, we got to enjoy playing each other's games, and even invited our 6th grade buddies down to play them with us. I'm pretty sure the 3rd graders knew more about astronomy than the buddies!
