Welcome to the new 3rd Grade Blog!
This week we are finishing up our unit on hearing and sound. On Tuesday, the students made some AMAZING illustrations of the parts of the ear! They are on display in the hallway. If you are in the building, please check them out! On Wednesday, we went outside and created an enormous ear-- out of students! Each friend was a part of the ear, and the sound vibrations traveled from the outside source, through the pinna and ear canal to the ear drum. Vibrations continued through the cochlea and auditory nerve, until finally reaching our brain.
A little birdie told me that Mrs. Denman is coming in on Thursday to do a special Sound activity with the class, too!
